Gemma Pullar is an emerging artist based in South-East Melbourne, Australia. Her practice centres on emotional abstraction, blending figurative and narrative elements to explore themes of containment, growth, and transformation.

Working across painting and installation, Pullar creates quiet, psychologically charged scenes that sit between the familiar and the surreal. Subtle shifts in scale and perspective unsettle everyday spaces, lending still moments an uncanny, dreamlike quality. Portraiture, still life, and landscape begin to merge, suggesting layered systems of meaning beneath the ordinary, where the visible world operates as a coded, intuitive, and associative structure open to interpretation.

Pullar completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at Monash University and also studied at Chisholm Institute of TAFE in Melbourne.
